"Don't get too "parroty" at the Buffet[sic] concert!" ![]() The spike in my mood today is off the charts. It's beautiful out, it's summer, and there's a full moon too! according to ebullient Facebook posters. Normally I want to punch these people, but today they're okay. This weekend, I'm off to my first Jimmy Buffett concert. The reaction to this news from coworkers and friends is concerned--and envious--shrieks filled with warnings of "you don't know what you're in for." You'd think I'm about to enter some boozy, anarchic parallel universe. I'll tell you all about it if I'm alive Monday. Going to a Jimmy Buffett concert has been on my list of things to do someday, before he's too old to sing, or dead. Van the Man is on there too. You'll notice I don't call it my "bucket list." I hate that phrase. I'm not sure why; maybe because it's overused and or I saw annoying people online touting their stupid lists as if I cared that they want to go skydiving or other equally unoriginal things. What I'm jamming to today, mon ![]() Items on my list this summer are pretty low grade. I want to make it to the Drive In in Wellfleet, like when I was a kid. Nostalgia, man. I want to go back to Nancy's on Martha's Vineyard and bother my friend Steve who is a manager there like I did last summer, not leaving the 200 square feet surrounding the damn place because I love those 20,000 calorie Dirty Bananas so freaking much. There's other stuff on the list...but do you really care? Happy first day of summer everyone!!

I want to go to there (the Cape, not the concert).
